Dan and I started our two-week motorcycle holiday. Not everything went as planned and we had to make some alternative arrangements. But like my Dad always said “You have to be flexible!”

Easter in Füssen, DE
Easter weekend in Bavaria! The weather was typical spring alpine weather, meaning it was cold and damp. But somehow, someway, we managed to enjoy ourselves.
Spring Fever
I knew that the passes would be closed, but I wanted to go anyway. It turned out to be a beautiful day, despite a little hiccup in the mountains.
KTM and the Jura – a midwinter’s ride
A surprise ride on a surprisingly beautiful day. With added drama!
Alsace in the Autumn
Not the best of weather, but I wanted to extend my errand-run to Germany a little bit and decided to check out the vineyards of the Alsace, hoping for some good colors in the Vosges Mountains while I was there.
What to see at the Bodensee?
Dan and I and our friend Bob took a ride over to the Bodensee. The weather wasn’t entirely cooperative, but we did what we had hoped to do and had a good time doing it. We stopped at Touratech and then visited the Zeppelin Museum in Freidrichshafen, Germany. So much history!
Autumn’s Alpine Splendor
With fantastic weather forecasted, Dan and I took the motorcycles into the Alps, taking in the three closest passes to make it a full day. Eight hours of fun in the sun that lead to some incredible views. Enjoy!
A Cold Attempt at Exploring the Jura with Dan
The sun was deceptive – it was cold outside. We stuck to it for a couple of hours but finally slunk home to hot chocolate and fondue.
Riding to Biberach (DE)
Dan and I visited friends in Germany, taking the motorcycles in an effort to sneak in one more ride this season.
Half-day ride through the Jura Mountains
Rain was in the forecast for the weekend so I snuck out of Basel for a few hours and got in short ride. Perfect weather – I wonder how long that will last?
