We spent the next two days exploring together but also separately. The weather continued to bless us with sunshine and we made sure to include a visit to the Botanical Gardens. Here is a photo essay of our time in one of our favorite cities.

Petra left Edinburgh before we did, and the city gave us all a wet farewell. Finally: appropriate autumn weather! We had a really great trip and it was the perfect blend of city and country. I am looking forward to the next long-distance hike, too, now that I have a better understanding of what I like and don’t like.
