Our
First Trip Showing Someone Else Around the City |
|
| An STN friend of mine (katego/Katherine) was in town from Seattle for work and wanted to see the City. Dan and I were happy to oblige, as there are still vast areas of unexplored hillsides for us to see as well. After a breakfast of homemade waffles we set out in the car and headed northwest. A quick check of the GPS gave us a good place to stash the car and off we went, up, down and all around, checking out the architechtural variety that is the heart of San Francisco. | |

The view was not so grand today |
| After a quick climb up the stairs we found ourselves on a hilltop with no where to go but down. So down we went, meandering along the city streets until we reached the Haight-Ashbury district and found lunch at the Burger Meister. | |

| So after offering up much constructive criticism on other peoples' homes, we decided that it was time to make our way back to our own. The idea of continuing on to Pacifica, a very rich an influential neighborhood, would have to wait for another time. Fortunately we had a great route planned for our return to the car: Golden Gate Park | |

It took us a bit longer than we expected to get to the car, and I'm glad that Dan remembered to mark it's location on the GPS before we left it. By the time we reached it we were tired of walking and it felt good to just sit back and enjoy the drive home. Here are some pictures Katherine took, just to round out the day. |
