About
Stanford University

It was by sheer luck that I stumbled up my current job at Stanford University, and I was very fortunate to have been hired there. I figured that I was set for "years to come", as a job at Stanford is not only fairly secure, but it's a job worth holding on to. The benefits are good, the people are great and the campus is beautiful. But after less than a year within the halls of knowledge I had to give my notice. It was time to move again, this time to the East Coast. I'm winding down my time there now, hoping to make an easy transistion to the next lucky soul who gets to take over my seat.

Below are some random shots I took one weekend around the campus. I wanted to make sure that I'd never forget what a wonderful place it is.

The Quad
History of Stanford The buildings on campus range from 100+ year old structures of stone to modern, still-be-built walls of glass. Always kept in mind is the look and feel of history and stability of what Leland Stanford began in the 1890's. The great earthquake of 1906 took its toll, but the University rebounded quickly, leaving very little evidence of the damage that occured.

Art is respected on campus and Stanford boasts a large collection of Rodin sculptures, found scattered across the grounds. The Cantor Art Center holds a surprsing amount of art within its walls, some of it on permanent display and some of it rotating.
