VFR - Kiki lives again!

Way back in May of '04 I low-sided the VFR. It was still rideable, but it looked like hell. I sent it to a mechanic friend's house who took his time (about 9 months) to fix some "inner workings" of the fair stays and instrument/headlight clusters. I eventually got the bike back, but the plastics still looked ugly. I rode the bike a couple of times anyway and then decided to paint it myself. I stripped the bike down, sanded parts, filled in scratches and dings and then hooked up with a friend who was planning on painting some car parts. We sent along a piece of the plastics for a color match, I loaded up the parts and we meet at the painting booth. Many hours later I had a Peptobismal pink bike. Ok, maybe not that bad, but it certainly wasn't red! We gave it a quick shot of grey primer just so we could look at the parts again and then I stacked them up in my garage to await my next bout of ambition. It took a few months before I realized that I shouldn't wait for my next "bout" and instead I took all of the bits and pieces to a professional painter. It took *him* a while, but on Saturday morning (the 2nd, for those who are keeping score) I picked up a VW load of shiny, red VFR parts. That afternoon a large number of friends came over to "help" (ie "DO") put the bike back together while I lit the grill and laid on some kabobs. Below are the pictorial results:
